Side Pony Music Festival in Bisbee, Arizona

November 11-12, 2022:

Any excuse to spend some time in Bisbee works for me so I'm on the road heading there on November 11th even though I'm not exactly, positively sure if the festival is for real as their web site and promotion is terribly lacking.  It was cancelled for 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, but I had been there in 2018 and 2019 and loved it.

The festival is an all volunteer event over three days with assorted genres of music held at several downtown Bisbee venues.  The bands are predominately Arizona based, mostly Phoenix area and only locally known, no big label stars, but lots of raw vibrant talent.  The key action takes place in the Brewery Gulch area which adds to the character and debauchery of the event.

All the shows are intimate where you can interact easily with the musicians and the attendees are there for the music, no distractions, although some of the attendees are pretty weird and somewhat distracting ?

I have put up hundreds of Bisbee photos over the years, so I will go lightly here, stick to a few performer stills and short videos.

A sad disturbing  story at the museum

There was so much more, you just have to be there to experience it all. Now back to Tucson where many music events are taking place weekly from now to Christmas.
